Description:
This graceful ensemble begins with a simple black satin shift, over which is
worn an open-fronted black silk coat lined with black-shot red silk chiffon.
Intricate red embroidery patterns the upstanding collar, shoulders and hemline,
extending up the train towards the waist. Silver buckles on black leather straps
encircle the upper arms. A corset of black-shot red silk dupion is laced over
the coat, and ornamented with silver buckles crossing the front panel, which is
bordered by two silver zips.
